Cruise lines have made it increasingly easier to stay connected while on a cruise. With the new technology that is now available, in the not so distant future most ships will be wired totally wi-fi. In fact, some ships already provide that service. Listed by cruise line, here you will find the most current information regarding the various onboard Internet services. We will attempt to stay abreast of any changes or updates to this rapidly expanding service. However, if while on a cruise, you discover the addition of new or improved services onboard, please share that information with us.

Carnival Cruise Lines:

Carnival has implemented Internet Cafes fleet-wide. Guests may bring their own laptops for use on board by using the Wireless Internet Service. However, wireless access is only available in close proximity to the internet Cafe and cannot be used in the guest's staterooms. A one-time activation fee of $3.95 is charged to set-up an account and then you are billed at $.75 per minute. Blocks of time are also available. For 3,4 or 5 day cruises packages of 30 minutes for $16.50 and 60 minutes for $24.00 may be purchased. For 7 day or longer cruises a 100 minute package is $55 and $100 buys you 250 minutes of time. 
                        

Celebrity Cruises:

Online Celebrity provides email servers, Internet access and computer instruction on all of its ships. The cost of Internet access is $.75 per minute and several bulk packages are also available. (100 minutes for $70 / 200 minutes for $120 / 500 minutes for $250). Wireless access is available at the same package rate, but is not available in your stateroom. In-cabin Internet Service is available on the Millennium, Infinity, Constellation and Summit, but somewhat expensive. For the convenience of staying in touch in your stateroom, you will pay $25 per day which includes 50 minutes of time, plus the cost of whatever package plan you have purchased for anything over the 50 minutes.    
    

Costa Cruises:

Internet access is available on all Costa ships for a cost of $.50 per minute. Bulk package plans are also available. Access is available in select staterooms, including all suites aboard the ship. Guests can bring their laptop or rent a PC for those staterooms that offer access.
 

Crystal Cruise Line:
Internet service is available on the Harmony, Symphony and Serenity, plus laptop rentals are available for stateroom access. Charges are based on data transmission size and a current schedule of charges can be found onboard. However, presently the cost is $.75 per minute with a ten minute minimum + a $5.00 log-in fee each time you log on. 
 
Cunard Cruises:
Cunard offers Internet access on all of its ships. In addition to an Internet Cafe, there is also stateroom access in staterooms on the QM2. Specific pricing is available on board.
 
Holland America Cruise Line:
Internet access is available 24 hours a day on Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Ryndam, Volendam, Zaandam, Maasdam, Statendam, Westerdam, Veendam, Noordam, Oosterdam, Prinsendam and Zuiderdam. Each ship features an Internet Center, and in addition there are a number of "hot spots" available on each ship for personal laptop use. Guests on all Vista Class ships may access the Internet directly from their stateroom. There is a one-time activation fee of $3.95. The basic time charge is $.75 per minute, or you can purchase a discounted time plan of 100 minutes for $55.00 or 250 minutes for $100.00. Laptops may be rented for $20 per day.
 
Norwegian Cruise Lines:
All ships in the NCL fleet are equipped with 24 hour Internet access. Standard charges are $.75 per minute. Time package plans are available at $100 for 250 minutes or 100 minutes for $55. In-Stateroom Access is currently available on the Sun and the Sky. Wireless Internet Service for laptops is available in the same  price package plans as at the Internet Cafes, as well as a 33 minute small usage plan for $25.
 
Princess Cruises:                                                           
Computer services are provided onboard the Princess fleet.  Passengers may access AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail and other web based email accounts as well as Internet web browsing at a cost of $.35 per minute. Bulk package pricing is also available. Guests who book suites and Platinum Members of the Captain's Circle can take advantage of complimentary Internet service.
 
Radisson Seven Seas:
Internet service is available on the Navigator, Mariner and Voyager. Computers are located in the library on the Navigator, and there are Internet Cafes on both the Mariner and the Voyager available 24 hours a day. The Voyager's Internet Cafe even includes a wi-fi "hot spot" for wireless laptop use. Radisson structures their fees on a pre-paid hourly basis, rather than by the minute.  They offer several packages ($6.00 for 1 hr. / $25 for 5 hours / $40 for 10 hours / $75 for 20 hours).
 
Royal Caribbean International:
All ships in the RCI fleet have an Internet Cafe onboard. In addition, all Voyager and Radiance-family ships have cybercabin programs that allow guests to go online using their own laptops in their stateroom. The cost for using the Internet Cafe terminals is $.50 a minute and there are no bulk pricing packages available. A flat fee ($100-$120 depending on ship and sailing) for unlimited usage is available for cybercabin service. The new Ultra-Voyager ships will be wired totally wi-fi.
 
Seabourn Cruises:
The Seabourn Pride, Spirit and Legend are all totally wired as wi-fi "hot zones" for guests' personal laptop and PDA use. An Internet Center is also available. Cost is presently $.50 per minute and various bulk time packages can be purchased to lower the cost to as little as $.25 per minute.
 
Silversea Cruises:
Internet access is available on all ships. Cost is a basic $.75 per minute, based on transmission time. There are no bulk pricing packages. In addition, staterooms are equipped to receive e-mail through the television, but this is on a separate fee base.
